Scope of Services
Vobecky Enterprises, Inc. (VEI) served as the Prime Contractor to the General Services Administration to provide support services for the Department of Education’s office relocation and tenant improvements. Team Vobecky managed the Department’s move to multiple floors in the nationally registered and historic Federal Office Building, located at 50 United Nations Plaza in San Francisco, CA.
Work areas included:
- On 1st and 5th floors: Layout of new furniture, voice/power/data locations, and workstations; new door installations; and new wall construction
- On 4th floor: Installation of new HVAC for the Mariposa Conference Room
- Moving of office furniture, equipment, files, and auxiliary items to newly renovated spaces, totaling 38,714 SF in the Federal Building’s Basement, 1st floor, and 5th
- Disposal of debris and existing furniture from 2 floors, approximately 60,000 SF
- Office design services, including furniture procurement and installation
