Scope of Services

Vobecky Enterprises, Inc. (VEI) served as the Prime Contractor to the US Army to provide design build services for the Building 978 and Building 352T Dog Kennel Refurbishment project at the National Training Center Fort Irwin, CAWork was conducted in the existing kennel and temporary kennel swing space, each accommodating numerous working dogs. VEI’s construction services supported the Military Working Dog (MWD) Program’s mission for K9 area security, force protection, and drug, human and explosive detection. Project work required:

  • Demo and decommissioning of existing 15-ton HVAC unit
  • Installation, commissioning, and TAB of new, energy efficient HVAC system and Trane 15-ton unit.
  • Installation of energy saving items, including: 1) new doors/thresholds, 2) weather proofing and stripping, and 3) plumbing enhancements.
  • Installation of data cable management and support runway

Project Results Include:

  • Successful commissioning of new HVAC system
  • Contribution to the facility’s energy savings and water conservation
  • Waste management program for decommissioned equipment
