Vobecky Enterprises, Inc. (VEI) served as the Prime Contractor to the US Army to provide demolition and refurbishment of flooring and finishes throughout the Fort Hunter Liggett Fire Station. Fort Hunter Liggett encompasses 165,000 acres, as the U.S. Army Reserve's largest training installation.

Work areas included: 1) Relocation of furniture and equipment to temporary space; 2) Demo of existing carpet, linoleum, and base; 3) Installation of new carpet in the main common areas and sleeping quarters; 4) Installation of new linoleum in the kitchen and food preparation areas; 5) Installation of professional grade rubber matting in the physical fitness/weight room; 6) Replacement of 6 shower doors; and 7) Dry wall repairs and painting throughout the facility.

Project Results Include:

• Phasing of demolition and repairs to maintain Fire Station’s 24/7 operational readiness.
• Provision of complete building-wide cleaning service
• No disruptions to the facility’s emergency response requirements to protect the Army’s premier Total Force Training Center.
